Pinwheel cookies
Recipe Ingredients
- 7 oz sugar
- 2 yolks
- 14 oz flour
- 7 oz margarine
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 tablespoons cacao
- 4 tablespoons dry milk or dairy cream
Preparation
Mix the flour with sugar and vanilla.
Add yolks, margarine and mix the dough.
Divide the dough into two parts. Add cacao to one part and mix.
Add dry milk or dairy cream into another part. Mix well.
Roll the light dough into a square.
The dark dough needs to be rolled into precisely the same square. I advise to cut the square out of foil (the size of the light one), and roll the dark dough on the foil.
Place the dark dough on a light (with foil on top) and remove the foil.
Form the roll and place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so the dough can cool down a little and it would be easier to cut it.
Cut the roll into pieces. Cover the pan with baking paper and grease a little with butter. Place the cookies and bake in the oven at 325-350F.
Bon appétit!
