Cannelloni with meat filling
Recipe Ingredients
- 9 oz cannelloni
- 17.5 oz ground meat
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 5.5 oz cheese
- vegetable oil for frying
- salt
- pepper
- spices to taste
Béchamel sauce:
- 2 oz butter
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 17 oz of milk
Preparation
Cannelloni is a type of pasta that is shaped in a form of tubes. You can find it at the grocery department that sells pasta.
Finely cut the onion and garlic.
Cut the tomatoes into small cubes.
Sauté the onion and garlic in vegetable oil until they are a golden color.
Then add ground meat and fry well.
Then add tomatoes. Add salt, pepper, spices to taste and fry for 10-15 minutes.
Prepare the Béchamel sauce. To do that, melt the butter, add flour and slightly fry everything.
Then add milk, salt, pepper and boil until thickening (the sauce consistency should resemble liquid sour cream).
Stuff the cannelloni with ground meat. You should not put too much ground meat in tubes otherwise they will explode. Also, to prevent the tube explosion, you should fill them with the cooled ground meat.
Place half of the Béchamel sauce into the baking pan. Place the cannelloni.
Grease them with the leftover Béchamel sauce and bake in the oven at 325F for 30 minutes. Then take them out, sprinkle with grated cheese and put back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Bon appétit!
