Stuffed goose
Recipe Ingredients
- Goose (6.6 – 7.7 lb).
- 2 lb potato
- 3 large apples (better if they are sour)
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation
Of course, either potatoes or apples can be used to stuff the goose. I decided to combine both for the stuffing. I liked it.
The goose should be thoroughly washed and rubbed with salt and pepper inside and out. Leave in a cool place for 2 hours.
Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes or strips and boil in the water with added salt until half ready.
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into pieces.
Combine apples and potatoes.
Stuff the goose with the apple and potato stuffing and then sew it up.
Place the goose on the pan with its back on the bottom. Put into the oven and cook at 400F for 2 hours. If the top starts burning, cover it with foil. During cooking, periodically pour the formed fat over the goose.
