Chicken soup with lentil


 

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 chicken (weight 3.3lb)
  • 7 oz lentil
  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 onions
  • vegetable oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation


The amount of ingredients is for a 1 gallon sauce pan.

Wash the chicken and cut it into pieces.

Boil the chicken pieces in salty water until ready. Then remove it.

Peel the potatoes, cut them into strips or cubes.

Add the potatoes into the chicken broth.

After the potatoes start boiling, add rinsed lentil, salt, pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

Mince the onion.

Grate the carrots on a large grater.

Saute the onion and carrots in vegetable oil.

Add them to the soup and cook for another 5 minutes. Basically, the lentil should be cooked for 10 minutes. The boiling time for the lentil is specified on the package. Serve the soup in plates and add pieces of chicken.
