Carrot cake
Recipe Ingredients
- 9 oz sugar
- 7 oz butter or margarine
- 3 eggs
- 16 oz carrot grated on a small grater
- ½ oz baking powder
- 12.5-14 oz flour
Cream:
- 7 oz sour cream
- 3.5 oz sugar
Preparation
Cream butter with sugar.
Add eggs and combine.
Add carrots and mix well.
Add baking powder, flour and mix the dough that is not tight.
Bake 2 layers. Bake in the pan greased with vegetable oil (I have a pan that is 10”) at 350F for 30-35 minutes. To check the layer readiness, you need to poke it with a toothpick (or match), if it is dry – then the layer is ready.
Prepare the cream. Beat the sour cream with sugar until particles dissapear.
Grease the baked layer with cream.
Cover with the second layer. Decorate to taste.
