Venison Empanadas

Recipe Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground venison
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped spanish olives
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 small can tomato sauce (8oz.)
- 3 tbl worchestershire sauce
- 2 tbl balsamic vinegar
- 2 chopped jalapeno peppers if desired
- 2 package 5" pastry disc. (10 per pkg) (frozen section of the supermarket)
Preparation
These are even more delicious than they look!!
Gather you ingredients, then have a nice cold beverage.
Chop the onion, celery, olives, and jalapenos.
Melt the butter in a sauce pan.
Brown the venison.
Add the onion and simmer for a couple of minutes.
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Simmer approximately 10m min.
Remove from the pan and alow to cool for approx. 10 more min, or until it is easily handled. This is a good time for another cold beverage.
Fill the pastry shells with the approximately two nice tablespoons of the mixture.
Keep spoonin!
Fold the pasrtry shell in half.
Press the edges with a fork and brush lightly with olive oil.
Bake in the oven at 375 for approximately 15 to 20 min or until they are golden brown.
