Sugar Icing


 

Recipe Ingredients

  • 17.5 oz sugar powder
  • 7-8 tablespoons syrup (lemon is best)
  • Food dyes (optional)

Preparation


Combine powder and syrup and place on a low heat.

Boil, while stirring, until the icing is uniformly covering the paddle (boil for about 5-7 minutes).

You can add food dyes to the cooked icing. Icing solidifies quickly, so you need to cover ginger breads or cookies with hot icing.
