Titanic cookies


 

Recipe Ingredients

  • ½ oz dry or 3.5 oz fresh yeast
  • 7 oz margarine
  • 5 eggs
  • 4-5 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups sugar

Preparation


Place yeast in the cup and add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 5 tablespoons of warm water. Let yeast raise well.

Cream margarine with 1 cup of sugar.

Then add eggs and raised yeast and thoroughly combine everything.

Then add flour and mix the dough.

Then tie the dough in a clean gauze (you need to fold the gauze in 3 layers).

Then lower the dough in gauze into the cold water.

The dough should rise to surface. It normally takes 1 hour.

When the dough rises, take it out of the gauze and divide into two parts and roll each part into a circle.

Then pour half a cup of sugar onto every part of the rolled dough and even it out.

Then form a roll out of the dough.

Cut the roll into pieces.

Place pieces on the pan and bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes.
