Egyptian Style Chicken

Recipe Ingredients

  • 17.5 oz chicken filet
  • 1 ½ cup rice
  • 2 carrots
  • leek or bulb onion
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • salt
  • pepper
  • vegetable oil

Preparation


Cut the leek into rings. If you use bulb onion, you can mince it.

Mince the carrot into strips.

Cut the filet into small pieces.

Sauté the filet and carrot in vegetable oil.

Add onion, salt and sauté a little more.

Add garlic squeezed through a garlic press.

Then place the filet with vegetables into the baking form.

Add rinsed rice, salt, pepper. Add water, so it will cover the rice approximately 1”. Bake in the oven at 400F for 40-50 minutes. Sprinkle the cooked dish with greens (parsley, fennel, etc.).
