Cookies Surprise

This recipe was sent to my by Elena. Thank you very much! The cookies are crispy, scented and very delicious!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 5.5-7 oz sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 oz butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder (or 1 teaspoon soda)
  • 10.5 – 12.5 oz flour
  • dried plums or dried apricot

Preparation

Soak the dried plums in warm water and leave for 30 minutes.

Beat the eggs with sugar.

Add honey and mix well.

Add butter and baking powder and mix.

Pour the mix into a sauce pan and place on a water bath. Heat until the mix becomes twice the size. Remove from heat and cool a little.

Then add flour and mix the dough, so it is not tight.

Stuff the dried plum with a half or quarter of walnut.

Form a small pancake out of the dough and place in the center of the died plum.

Form a ball that is the same size as a walnut.

Cover the pan with baking paper (or grease with butter) and place the balls on it. Bake in the oven at 350F for 20 minutes.

The finished cookies can be covered with chocolate or you can create a honey and walnut topping. To do that, melt 5-7 tablespoons of honey.

Finely chop 2.5-3.5 oz of nuts.

Dip cookies in warm honey.

Then roll in nuts. I got 40 cookies out of this amount of ingredients.

Bon appétit!
