HOMEMADE BELGIAN WAFFLE INGREDIENTS

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 stick of butter (unsalted)
  • 4 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

HOW TO MAKE BELGIAN WAFFLES

  • Take your waffle iron and preheat it. Mixing the ingredients takes very little time, so work fast.
  • Mix your dry ingredients together: flour, sugar, salt, baking powder.
  • Mix your wet ingredients: eggs, milk, butter (melt it in the microwave for 30 seconds)
  • Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and mix together. Don’t stir too well, your waffles will become ‘gummy’ and lose their puffiness.
  • With a ladle, pour the mix into the waffle iron and leave for few minutes to cook. When they are golden, you can take them out and enjoy with ice cream, fruit toppings or whipped cream.
